Chinese Occupation of TibetI believe that Chinese occupation in Tibet is a tragedy that should bedelt with before a total racial extermination of the Tibetan cultures occurs. This is a veryserious topic that has been avoided since the late 1940s.Chinese occupation in Tibet is one of the great tragedies in history.The Communist authorities is trying to completely erase the Tibetan culture.Since the Tibetan religion is Buddhism they get hold of vowed to never hurt anotherliving creature, and because of this they cannot fight back against the Chinesearmy. Over 1.2 millionTibetans have been killed and thousands imprisoned for utter their religiousbeliefs. Tibetan women are sometimes forced to have abortions and beatsterilized. The Chinese have reeked havoc on Tibets fragile environment with extensive deforestation and open dumping of nuclear waste. T ibets most holy lake, Yamdrok Tso, is currently being drained for a Chinese hydroelectric index plant.This problem has not been dealt with for nearly 60 years. The UnitedNations has failed to punish chinaware for any of its human rights abuses. Majorcorporations from around the world continue to do business with China. Lastyear, despite continuing pressure, the United States renewed Chinas well-nighFavored Nation trading status.
